Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Karen Dumont is excited to join Dr. Blaha and the Agape team in January 2016. Originally from Rochester, NY, she has lived in Ithaca since completing her DVM degree at Cornell University in 2002. She received her B.S. from the University of Notre Dame. Karen has enjoyed practicing for 14 years focusing on small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She has worked both in private practice and in shelter medicine, serving as a vet for the Thompkins county SPCA in recent years. She enjoys taking care of her clients and patients and looks forward to meeting many new faces at Agape. Dr. Dumont lives in Ithaca with her husband, Chad, 3 young boys, a Great Pyrenees mix named Daisy, and 4 cats. Her family keeps her happily busy! In her remaining "free time", you might also see Dr. Dumont practicing her other love, singing. She is frequently seen around the area performing in concerts, operas and musicals.
