Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Keith Manning is a general practitioner and is also the owner and director of Long Island City Veterinary Center. Asked what first inspired him to become a veterinarian, Dr. Manning says it was his first pet, a dog named Happy. Her unbounded love and playfulness were always a part of me, he says. Now that I am a veterinarian I really enjoy improving a pets health and quality of life, so it can more fully enjoy the human and pet bond. A native of Westchester, New York, Dr. Manning attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook for his undergraduate studies where he earned a bachelors degree in biology in 1978. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Araneta University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.
