Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Pacchiano began her college education as a journalism major at New York University but transferred to SUNY Albany where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology before realizing her true dream of becoming a veterinarian. In 2001, Dr. Pacchiano graduated from Oklahoma State University with honors as a member of the Society of Phi Zeta. After graduation, Dr. Pacchiano completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview, NY. Since then, Dr. Pacchiano has been dedicated to the care and treatment of animals at Massapequa Hospital for Animals. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), and the House Rabbit Society. She lives in Merrick, NY with her husband, Slavic, their daughter, Giavanna, their dog, Piper, three cats, China, Newman, and Tortellini and several boas. When not shopping, cooking or baking, she burns off calories at the local gym.
