Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sola knew from a young age that he wanted to be a veterinarian. At the age of 11, he started helping his grandfather, a dairy farmer, in the milking parlor. He enjoyed watching the cows graze and the milking process. He started volunteering at a Small Animal Clinic in his hometown of Caguas at the age of seventeen. He was moved and fall in love with Small Animals after he assisted delivering a litter of puppies from a Shih Tzu undergoing a C-section. He graduated from Ross University with honors in 2002. He then became an Associate Veterinarian in Puerto Rico. In 2008, he moved with his family to New York where he completed a one year Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialist in Manhattan. He developed special interest in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pain Management, Behavior and Exotics. He currently lives in Harlem with his wife, Karina, his son, Marco and his three dog rescues, Estrellita, Cuquin and Sofia. He is currently involve with the Ronald McDonald House Family Fun Dog Walk in support of the therapy dogs that bring joy to children battling cancer. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, traveling, and snowboarding.
