Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rebecca Nealey has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Palmyra Animal Hospital since May 2009. A native of Penfield, Dr. Nealey began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant at Penfield Veterinary Hospital when she was in high school. Dr. Nealey completed her undergraduate education at the Pennsylvania State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Biology in 1991. She went on to attend the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. That year, she received the Petsmart "Human Animal Bond" award. Following veterinary school, she completed a large animal internship at the University of Illinois. Internal medicine and preventive care are among her many professional interests. Horseback riding, hiking and camping are just some of Dr. Nealey's many hobbies. She shares her home with five horses and two cats, Masala and Little One.
