Veterinarian Overview
Palmer Veterinary Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Glenn Palmer, a third generation veterinarian, in the practice. A graduate of Beekmantown Central School, Dr. Glenn went on to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, for both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. He met and married his wife, Tara, while there. Following his graduation, he worked as a veterinarian on a 3,300 cow dairy farm in Central New York. His family includes their young daughter, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 5 chickens. Dr. Glenn states that when he was growing up, he rode with his Dad, Dr. George on many farm calls. He enjoyed that and was inspired to be a veterinarian. He is excited to have returned to Plattsburgh with his own family and is thrilled to be doing what he always enjoyed. His primary professional interests are dairy production medicine and dairy herd management. Evidenced by his small managerie at home, he certainly enjoys seeing small animals as well. Dr. Glenn and his wife are thrilled to be joining such a wonderful community where they have the opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones through their professional and leisure activities. In his time away from the clinic, he enjoys getting outside with his family and 3 dogs, playing and watching hockey and football, and trying to keep up with his recently mobile daughter. Dr. Glenn joins the staff of now 7 veterinarians. Palmer Veterinary Clinic has been providing quality care to Small and Large animals in the Plattsburgh and Clinton County area, for over 50 years.
