Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kaddatz was born and raised on a dairy farm in central Minnesota, earned his DVM from the University of Minnesota, and completed an internship at Cornell University. He was a senior partner for 25 years practicing in Rochester, New York. He became Hospital Director at Pound Ridge Veterinary Center in 2003. Dr. Kaddatz has been named a Westchester Countys topVets multiple times. Active at many levels in organized veterinary medicine, Dr. Kaddatz served as president of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society in 2000 and was the recipient of their Veterinarian of the Year award in 2002. He chaired the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Council on Veterinary Service, co-chaired the AVMA Governance Performance Review Committee, and is a New York delegate to their House of Delegates. In addition, he represents the AVMA at World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA). Committed to continuing education, Dr. Kaddatz is a past president and board of directors member of the North American Veterinary Community. Their meeting, NAVC, is held in Orlando in January and is the largest veterinary CE meeting in the world. Dr. Kaddatz has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. An avid golfer, he will golf anywhere, anytime. He and his wife, Jackie, like to spend their spare time golfing, reading, road biking, and enjoying the company of their pets, Halley (rough collie) and cat Trixie.
