Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Eileen Fatcheric-Burns joined the Fairmount Animal Hospital team as a veterinarian in 1992. She graduated from Cornell Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Her first four professional years were spent doing mixed animal practice in Pulaski, NY and equine practice in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Fatcheric grew up in the Tipp Hill neighborhood of Syracuse. She worked at Fairmount Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant prior to attending vet school. She currently resides in Syracuse with her husband Mike Burns, their black labs Dixie and Rebel, and their cats Cookie and Rain. Horses Kelsey and Paz are also considered part of the family, even though they live in the barn. Dr. Fatcherics main professional interest is building long term relationships with her clients and their pets, based on mutual respect, trust and concern. She enjoys traveling to Las Vegas or Orlando for her annual continuing education. When she is not working she enjoys dog agility, horseback riding, gardening, knitting, reading, running, golf, anything her nieces are doing, walking her dogs in the woods and attending S.U. basketball and football games. In her spare time she gives back by participating in local career days.
