Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Raum grew up on a farm in Sullivan County, NY. She attended Cornell University, studying Music and Neurobiology & Behavior. She graduated with honors and distinction in research; co- publishing a study on equine cribbing behavior in the Journal of Applied Animal Behavior Science.Dr. Raum obtained her DVM at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2009. Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, fish pathology, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Raum keeps up with a busy performance schedule as a professional oboe and English horn player. When not in the animal hospital or performing in concert halls, Dr. Raum enjoys SCUBA diving, painting, keeping up with the fashion scene in NYC, traveling with her fiance, Alex, and beingserenaded by their three cats Theo, Levi, and Layla
