Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Robert Moore is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned his DVM degree. After serving a rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada, he was accepted to a Zoological and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery Residency at Texas A&M University. He is a Diplomate in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and was certified in avian practice in 2006. Widely experienced in a range of animal species, his specialties include: pet and aviary birds, reptiles, amphibians, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, marsupials, primates, exotic carnivores, and hoof stock, as well as fresh and saltwater aquatics. His professional duties include his current position of staff veterinarian at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo and, occasionally, he sees patients at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. In addition to elevating our care across the board for our avian and exotic patients, he has office hours every Saturday at Bond Animal Hospital.
