Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Douglas Wyler, a native of Brooklyn, NY has been fascinated by puzzles for as long as he can remember. He completed his Bachelors degree in biological sciences at Cornell Universitys College of Agriculture and Life Science. After being introduced to veterinary medicine by his older brother, he then went on to graduate from the oldest veterinary school in the Western world, Universita degli Studi di Bologna in Italy. Here he was exposed to a completely new and fascinating culture, rich with history and as we all know, delicious food! Dr. Wyler not only obtained an extraordinary education, he also learned four new languages (Italian, Spanish and some Portuguese as well as French.) After graduating, Dr. Wyler returned to New York and practiced in Brooklyn while obtaining additional training at New York Citys prestigious Animal Medical Center. In 1977, he opened the Animal Medical Hospital and has been serving pet owners in the community ever since! Dr. Wyler then opened a second hospital in Whitestone, Queens in order to help more pets and their families. Dr. Wyler and his wife, Irma have three adult children who were raised in the nearby area of Rockville Centre. They share the house with Deliliah, a sassy girl who is affectionate on her terms, and Alex, an entertaining Quaker parrot
