Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ruskin has been working in the veterinary field for over 30 years and accomplished her childhood dream to be a veterinarian in 1998 when she graduated from the Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing integrative medicine for the past 11 years and is a certified veterinary acupuncturist. Additionally Dr. Ruskin is taking coursework to be a certified veterinary herbalist. Dr. Ruskin has a special interest in Intravenous Vitamin C therapy for cancer treatment and other diseases so in October 2014 she completed a 4 day course on IV C to broaden her knowledge of the science and methods behind it. Additionally, she is a certified instructor of Pangu Shengong energy healing and certified practitioner of Reiki. Amongst many other uses Dr. Ruskin finds energy healing to be particularly useful in helping calm stressed pets at the hospital. Dr.Ruskin shares her home with 2 Pomeranian mix rescue dogs, two rescue kitties and co-owns 3 other pom mix rescues.
