Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kim grew up in Auburn Township caring about animals. Her mom is the president of a Freedom Greyhound Rescue, and her family has 2 greyhounds, 1 Italian greyhound, and 7 cats. She shadowed a veterinarian early in her life and was impressed by the role that the vet has for a family with pets. She decided then and there that she wanted to work in the veterinary industry. She worked as a technician before going to vet school, and she interned at MetroPet during her final year. Our philosophy about pets as members of the family meshed with hers, and we decided that we would be crazy not to bring her on as a part of the team.In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her parents, younger sister, fiancée, and Cali, her smart and energetic four year old Husky/Lab mix. She loves to travel, hike, run, garden, and relax around the bonfire with her family. She travelled to the Galapagos Islands in college, where she snorkeled with sea lions and sea turtles!Dr. Kim graduated from Hiram College and then from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She joined MetroPet in 2015 and were excited to have her here!
