Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Urbiztondo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She left the island at the age of 18 to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 from Iowa State University and completed a combined MS/Clinical Pathology residency training program at The Ohio State University-CVM and IDEXX Laboratories in 2011. Although she has a strong interest in pathology, her first passion is emergency medicine, and she is very excited to be a part of the West Park Animal Hospital emergency staff. In her free time, she enjoys running and biking in the Metroparks, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She currently resides in Lakewood with her two dogs, Stella and Lola, and three cats, Sierra, Oliver, and Pearl.
