Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rona Shapiro loves practicing veterinary medicine and feels blessed to be part of a professional community that cares for both animals and people. Dr. Shapiro was raised in Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1979 with a B.S. Degree in Animal Sciences. After working as a herdsman on a dairy farm, and obtaining her Master of Science degree in Biochemistry, she attended and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Since that time, she and her husband, Dr. Alec Land, have co-owned the Groveport Canal Animal Hospital. Dr. Shapiros primary interest include internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, and soft tissue surgery.
