Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Andrea Freshwater hails from the village of Arlington in Northwest Ohio. She was active in FFA and earned both the State and National FFA Degree. Dr. Freshwater is a graduate of The College of Wooster, where she studied Biology. She received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining Prices Creek Veterinary Service, Dr. Freshwater practiced in Geauga County, Ohio, the Thumb of Michigan, and Miami County, Ohio where she treated dogs, cats, horses, goats, alpacas, and llamas. Dr. Freshwater has special interests in wound care, diabetes management, nutrition, stress-free visits for patients, and geriatric care. Dr. Freshwater grew up showing and raising Percherons with a 4-H group (and has driven up through a 6 horse hitch). While she looks forward to meeting all of her future patients, she is especially excited to meet the heavy horses. Dr. Freshwater has an Australian Cattle Dog named Figment. In her spare time, Dr. Freshwater enjoys indoor rock climbing, traveling, amateur astronomy, science fiction, and hunting for invertebrate fossils (although she still hopes to unearth a dinosaur someday).
