Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Deucker joined our team in 2009 with a DVM from The Ohio State University. She chose to pursue a career in veterinary medicine because of the daily mental and emotional challenges of dealing with something new and different. With over six years at the practice, she has had her share of challenging cases, but she welcomes them all because she loves helping animals maintain the best health possible. She also takes pride in the state-of-the-art equipment that the practice offers as well as the positive attitudes of her colleagues. She has special interests in feline medicine and surgery, dermatology, and genetic conditions and is affiliated with the American Veterinary Medical Association and Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. Throughout her career, she has completed various continuing education courses in feline medicine, genetics, and regenerative medicine. She has also had several notable accomplishments over the years, but one of the greatest was leading the march of women into the veterinary profession. Dr. Deucker is the proud pet mom of four cats: Alpine, Cici, Bailey, Raja, and Torro. In her free time, she gardens, hikes, ballroom dances, travels, reads, and meets with friends. She also volunteers her time to mentor young aspiring veterinarians.
