Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Emily Conway was raised in the mountain town of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a BA in Biology. She then earned her veterinary degree with honors from the University of Glasgow Scotland in 2010. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Conway completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After her internship, Dr. Conway spent a year in general practice in New Mexico, before moving east to pursue a three-year comparative veterinary ophthalmology residency at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She also received a Masters degree while at Purdue, with her research focus being the use of serum and plasma as a topical anti-collagenase agents. She became board certified in 2016 and is a current member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. Dr. Conway enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology but has special interests in corneal disease, feline ocular disease and the ocular manifestations of systemic disease. In her free time she enjoys baking, traveling, reading and spending time with her family and her three cats, Colby, Corona and Hemingway.
