One night took male cat in after a large dog had attacked him. He was lethargic and shocky and we feared internal injuries. We arrived and cautioned the vet he could be prone to bite strangers. We were told he would have to stay over night for treatment. Next day we were told we could pick him up. On arrival we were told the vet had not been able to treat or xray him because he tried to bite the vet and she could not handle him. This is not a large cat and can be easily handled if swallowed in a blanket. Our cat laid there all night and part of the next day without proper evaluation or diagnostic tests. She did basically nothing but board the cat over night and charged us a very large bill. We had to take him to another vet for evaluation and medication. This vet is apparently afraid of cats and should to honestly tell people she prefers to not treat cats. I now use another vet for my small animals and will not take another pet if she is the vet on duty.
Rusty the vet / owner is an excellent, knowledgeable, compassionate vet,but the large ranch animals are his main clients now.
