Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laura Embry graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2003 fulfilling her lifelong dream to be a veterinarian. Laura was very active in school and received the coveted "Gentle Doctor Award" given to the student who most exhibits the caring compassionate attitude desired in veterinary medicine. Laura then spent three years serving as a Veterinarian in the U.S. Army at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. During her term there she was responsible for taking care of the military dogs used by our brave young men and women in uniform. She received the "Unsung Hero Award" given by the Kirkland Air Force Base Commander. We feel very fortunate to have her in our practice at Catoosa Small Animal Hospital. Her main interests are internal medicine and ultrasonography. Her superior knowledge and caring attitude fit in perfectly with our practice. Dr. Embry is married to her husband John and they have a wonderful young son named Bill. His blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes make him irresistible and show his father's Icelandic background. Her dog KD is also part of the family.
