Veterinarian Overview
_Dr. Valerie Bays grew up in Southern California as the only daughter of a bookkeper and a truck driver. Coming from humble blue collar roots, Dr. Bays was raised with a powerful work ethic. Her father was a highly decorated Army veteran who always told her that if she was going to do a job, she needed to do it right. That instruction became her creede and follows her today in her daily patient care. Dr. Bays received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Montana State University, Bozeman. She went on to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. Dr. Bays married the love of her life in 2002 and together they have three beautiful, rambunctious, vibrant boys. Family activities include lure coursing and conformation showing of their Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs, showing and raising Suffolk and Hampshire club lambs, and supporting Thunder basketball! Fun fact: Did you know that Dr. Bays' mom was the baby in the original Swiss Family Robinson by RKO radio pictures? Sure enough, her mom was a movie star! Dr. Bays is committed to offering high quality care at an affordable cost. In reality, however, sometimes our clients are faced with an emergency surgery or illness in their pet that they just weren't prepared for. In that case, Dr. Bays will strive to find some type of remedy or plan that allows veterinary care to proceed.
