Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Moneta graduated from OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE in 2013 where she helped conduct clinical research during the summers. After graduation, she completed a one year internship in equine medicine, surgery, and ambulatory care at Pacific Crest Equine in Exeter, California. Before vet school she spent much of her time at PCS shadowing Dr. Crabbe and Dr. Posey and joined PCS as an associate veterinarian in October 2014.Her main interests include preventive care and sporthorse medicine, helping ensure a healthy life from foal to senior citizen while maintaining peak performance. Dr. Moneta also thoroughly enjoys client education and believes an informed owner is an essential part of equine health. She is happy to answer questions and come to your barn to do informational seminars on a wide variety of topics.Dr. Moneta grew up in Lake Oswego and has been riding and competing in dressage from a young age on all types of horses including tiny ponies, arabians, and warm bloods. Currently, she owns and rides her Oldenburg/QH cross Ina, who was born at PCS and trekked with her to vet school and her internship. She and her husband Cameron, a small animal veterinarian, live with their two adopted dogs, Lizard and Brody.
