Veterinarian Overview
I was born and raised in Gresham, where my father owned a veterinary practice. I have a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from OSU and got my DVM from Ross University in 1989. I have 5 cats (Pod, Chester, Chessie, Bat Girl, and Tinkerbelle), 2 Labrador Retrievers (Moe and Puddles) and a sheep farm. I was previously employed at Mt. Hood Pet Medical (formerly Companion Pet Clinic) since 1993. I am a member of OVMA, AVMA, and PVMA. I enjoy outdoor activities, especially hiking, sightseeing, canoeing and wildflowers, working on antique cars and tractors, watching sports, and chasing trains. I am a member of The Pacific Railway Preservation Association and volunteer to work on the Spokane/Portland/Seattle Railway #700. I also play the bass trombone in jazz, big bands, and local orchestras. I have operated a beef cattle farm, worked as a sports car mechanic, a heavy equipment and farm implement mechanic, as well as a veterinary technician.
