Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sherri Mellskog received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She also earned a B.S. in Animal Science from the University and a B.A. in Biology and Equestrian Science from Stephens College. She moved to Knoxville in 1993 with her husband William Thomas who is also a veterinarian and is on staff at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Together they have two beautiful daughters. Dr. Sherri breeds and raises Trakehner horses. Adding to her family are 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a guinea pig. They all reside on a 44-acre farm. If she has any spare time, she enjoys spending it with her family and her horses.
