Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Stephens (Doc) grew up in Norman Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma where she receieved her BS in Zoology in 1989. She went on to Oklahoma State University and graduated May 1993 from Veterinary School . She immediatly started working at Park Plaza Animal Clinic after doing her externship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and Highland Park Animal Clinic which are both in Dallas. Dr. Stephens began her veterinary career in 1982 starting out as a kennel technichian (We still have a hard time keeping her out of there cleaning). She then started working as a technichian and a receptionist all the way through undergraduate and veterinary school. For over 20 years Dr. Stephens has been working in the DFW Metroplex, 15 of those years spent here at Park Plaza Animal Clinic. She absolutely loves what she does. Dr. Stephens has several pets of her own including 1 Shih Tzu (Ollie), a Chihuahua mix (Addie Belle), a Poodle mix (Jo Jo Binx), and 1 cat (Bentley, who is our clinic pet). She recently lost her English Bulldog, and is missing him dearly. In her spare time she enjoys watching her daughter jumping horses and growing up in those wonderful teanage years. (LOL). She enjoys spending time with her step-daughter from her previous marriage and is looking forward to watching her play soccer at the collegiate level. She loves all sports and tries to make as many sporting events as possible.
