Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Anne James is from El Paso, Texas. She is the oldest daughter of eight children, and loves her large family. Her summers growing up were spent at her familys ranch in Alabama, where her love for animal care began in caring for the ranch and breeding horses along with cattle. She began college at Texas Tech University and completed her undergraduate degree with a bachelors in Animal Science, then immediately entered veterinary school at Texas A & M University. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1989. After veterinary school Dr. James practiced in San Antonio at Acres North Animal Hospital for 12 years. Dr. James professional interests include soft tissue surgery as well as internal medicine. Dr. James founded Blanco Crossing Veterinary Hospital in December of 2002, with the strong desire to provide excellent service and care for her patients and their owners. Dr. James has two children, both following in her footsteps as Texas A & M Aggies! Her son Byrne is graduating in December of 2018 with a degree in business, with a career in banking. Her daughter Megan is a member of the class of 2022, majoring in communications. When not at work Dr. James enjoys spending time with her family. She loves horses, any kind of sports and of course, anything Aggie! Her other family members include Fritz, a dapple dachshund, and a black cat named Kelly.
