Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jeffery Pruitt opened Buckner Animal Clinic in 1978. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, before attending Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in 1975. He is an active member of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, The Texas VMA, and the American VMA. His veterinary interest are preventative medicine, routine patient care, as well as surgery, including orthopedics.Dr. Pruitt's love and care of animals started at an young age while being raised on a farm south of Glen Rose, Tx. He milked cows, raised chicken's, pigeons and showed pigs for 4-H projects. While in high school he had a small sow/pig operation to earn money for his college education. He performed his first surgery at the age of twelve on a piglet sedated with a sleeping pill given to him by a local pharmacist.
