Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Martindale began practicing veterinary medicine at the Animal Hospital of Denison in 1968, after receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M. He purchased the original Animal Hospital from Dr. W. M. Porter in 1975, and constructed what is now the current building in 1980. After practicing for over 40 years, Dr. Martindale is enjoying semi-retirement. He recently sold the practice to Dr. Chad Cruce, but still remains actively involved in the practice. He is also very involved in organized veterinary medicine at the local, state and national levels. He served as president of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2004 and currently serves as a delegate of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association for the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Martindale and his wife, Linda, share their home with two cats, Girl Cat and Boy Cat. He and Linda stay very busy spending time with their grown children and a plethora of grandchildren. They are active members of the Park Avenue Church of Christ where Dr. Martindale serves as an elder and teaches bible classes. He is an avid golfer, and also enjoys cooking and reading
