22 years of experience in small animal medicineBorn in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Mexico, Dr. Jorge Chavarria acquired his education from the University of Veracruz in 1993. After receiving his degree in Veterinary Medicine, he obtained his certification by the American Veterinary Medical Association and license by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medicine Examiners.Post graduation, Dr. Chavarria has concentrated on his practice and professional development in small animals. This includes both preventative and internal medicine, with particular interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Part of his professional development includes the presentation of the thesis ñTick born Zoonosisî. The success of his thesis assisted him in earning his degree. Dr. Chavarria is continuing his education by taking intensive courses on both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and internal medicine.
