Veterinarian Overview
Dr Hinze graduated from Texas A & M Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 with an emphasis on mixed animal practice. She spent her Externship Clinical Rotation at the Sedgewick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas and served for a short period as a Relief Veterinarian at the Houston Zoo. She has also worked in Emergency practice, General practice, and animal research settings. She has experience in wildlife rehabilitation and enjoys community service activities including volunteering for the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, the Texas Seaport Museum and Elissa, Turtle Island Restoration Network, and recently participated in medical clinics in Peru with International Service Learning. She is trained in Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and is a Level II Reiki practitioner. Dr Hinze is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Traditional Veterinary Medicine at the Chi Institute in Florida. She enjoys horseback riding, camping, martial arts, and SCUBA diving.
