Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Mitchell graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from Texas A&M University. She has worked in private practice and emergency care in the Denton-Dallas area caring for small animals. She also has experience with birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits and helps with rehabilitation of wildlife. She has been filling in at Krum Veterinary Hospital for Dr. Lee since 2012 and has now joined the practice as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Mitchell is second author of Evaluation of Three Heat Sources for Their Ability to Maintain Core Body Temperature in the Anesthetized Avian Patient, Journal of Avian Medicine and Surgery and co-author of Myofascititis in a Ferret, Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
