Veterinarian Overview
Born and raised in West Texas, Dr. Faught spent much of his youth working with and surrounded by all different kinds of animals. This background led him to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University. He then earned his DVM degree from Texas A&Ms esteemed College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. As soon as he graduated, Dr. Faught moved to Austin, where he has been practicing ever since. Over the years, Dr. Faught was able to gain an amazing education working alongside many great veterinarians. He has been able to use his education and experience to mentor many new veterinarians and hospital staff as well. In 2010, Dr. Faught met fellow Aggie, Dr. Jed Rogers, and they began a discussion of providing a preventative, comprehensive, and service-oriented veterinary hospital to the greater Austin area. The result is Firehouse Animal Health Center in Davenport Village. Through Dr. Faughts expertise in dentistry, medicine, and surgery, Firehouse aims to find comprehensive solutions to your pets medical needs. Dr. Faught believes it is important to give back to the local community. He currently is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, where he serves on the Legislative Committee. He is also an active Board Member for Hospice Austin's Big Hearts for Brave Hearts, a member of the Hill Country Conservancy's EPIC, and actively involved in the Start of Texas Rodeo.
