Veterinarian Overview
My name is Dr. Kerbey Johansen and I was born in Austin. I attended Texas A&M, graduating with a BS in Biomedical Science in 2003, and completing my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. While attending college and veterinary school, I worked in Mason, TX for a mobile beef cattle practice. After graduation, I worked at a mixed-animal clinic for a year in Temple, TX before moving to the panhandle. In Amarillo, I worked at a small animal clinic for 3 years before beginning work with Dr. Long in July of 2011. My husband, Cary, works for the Joe Arrington Cancer Center in Lubbock as a radiation therapist. We have two children, Liam and Lana, who bless our lives with joy. We have one cat and two dogs, all adopted strays from working at veterinary clinics over the years.
