Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Brea Smith started with Leonard Animal Clinic in June 2018 as a Veterinarian. She is originally from Kansas, being born and raised in a small town south of Wichita. She attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate studies before making the transition to Kansas State University to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She returned home to Wichita to work for 5 years in a multi-doctor small animal practice. She moved to Texas in 2013 where she worked another 5 years prior to joining Leonard Animal Clinic. Dr. Smith and her husband live in Fannin County with their 6 dogs Charlie, Kalika, Jaxon, Lucy, Ace & Stella and 2 cats Ben & Barry. When not busy at work they enjoy going on adventures in their Jeep. Dr. Smith also likes to read and do yoga. In her work, Dr. Smith likes to focus on helping owners to better understand and care for their pets, especially in the areas of nutrition and behavior.
