Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Alejandro Aguirre earned a Diploma in Veterinary Medicine in 1987 and an Animal Physiology and Advanced Management of Reproduction Specialization in 1989, both from Zulia State University in Venezuela. Dr. Aguirre practiced Large and Small Animal Reproduction in his private practice in his country for 18 years where he also did research work in the Theriogenology area and participated in the teaching and training programs for Animal Reproduction and Professional Applications at Zulia State University. Dr. Aguirre became fully licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in the state of Texas in May, 2015 and since then has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Small and Large Animals. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, International Embryo Transfer Association and Society for Theriogenology where he is currently enrolled in the process to get Board Certified by the American College of Therigenology. Dr. Aguirre is married to the Honorable Judge Cindy M. Aguirre, AJ of the 505th District Court in Fort Bend County. They have three children, Alejandro, Isabela and Jesús. Horse back riding, running and reading are the preferred activities of Dr. Aguirre. Dr. Aguirre and his family have a rescued dog named Perrito and two rescued horses: Jessie and Ace and Three.
