Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Harris joined Dr. Martin in his practice at South Gessner Pet Clinic in 1981. Both were in the same veterinary class of 1972 at Texas A&M University. Dr. Harris was raised in a semi-rural background in South Texas where he grew up with many dogs and cats in his life as well as cattle and horses. He developed a love for animals and decided to help animals by pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine at A&M.Dr. Harris practiced first in a multi doctor veterinary practice where he developed a special interest in surgery. He also did emergency medicine for 5 years prior to joining Dr. Martin in his practice. He has worked with the Dulles FFA with students in raising their own animals, including not only dogs and cats, but cows, pigs and lambs.
