Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tran is a native of Hokkaido, Japan. She received her DVM from Obihiro University of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to the United States with her husband and attended North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Tran has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Northern Virginia area since 1999. In 2007, she began her study of alternative and complementary medicines. She is certified as a veterinary acupuncturist, veterinary tui-na practitioner, and veterinary Chinese herbalist from the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine. In 2008, she started Pearl Veterinary Holistic Medicine, a division of the Veterinary Internal Medicine Practice in Manassas, focusing on alternative health care for our animal companions. Dr. RMT also teaches(acupuncture) at the Chi Institute and practices veterinaryemergency medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Away from the clinic, she enjoys ballet dancing with her daughter, watching movies with her husband, and spending time with her cat.
