Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Susan Harper became part of our team in 2006, on a part-time basis. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University in 1999. She has since obtained Board Certification in Laboratory Animal Medicine and Veterinary Preventive Medicine. In her other life and full time job, she is Director of the Office of Research Oversight for the United States Department of Veteran Affairs in Washington, DC. She also serves as a consultant for the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International. Dr. Harper resides with her husband in Shepherdstown, WV along with several Australian Shepherds and two cats.
