Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hyman pursued his Pre-veterinary curriculum at the University of Arizona, completing his Bachelors in Science in 1974. He then went on to complete his DVM in the Philippines. Following completion of his Doctorate Degree he completed a one year clinical rotation at the University of Missouris College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1986 he began working at Newbury Park Veterinary Clinic, along with Drs Simpson and Rich. In 1991 he became partner/owner with Dr. Rich, after Dr. Simpson began working part time. In 1997 Dr. Canan joined the team as a partner. After Dr. Rich decided to retire, late in 2001, Drs Hyman and Canan decided to move their practice to its current location. At the present time Dr. Hyman lives in Ventura, CA with his wife Sally and their son Marc. Aside from practicing Veterinary Medicine Dr. Hymans passions include playing the guitar as well as recording, swimming, and martial arts.
