Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael Ponte is a 1981 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. He also received the University of Floridas Presidential Recognition Award and is an active member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Assocation of Avian Veterinarians, Brevard County Veterinary Medical Association and the University of Florida Veterinary Medical Alumni Council. He has successfully founded and operated four veterinary hospitals in Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, Coral Springs and Clermont, Florida. On August 11, 2004, he purchased Sarno Animal Hospital, which has been in business in Melbourne, Florida since 1969. Currently Dr. Ponte specializes in the treatment of dogs and cats. His extensive background also encompasses many years of experience with exotic pets and birds. Dr. Michael Ponte is committed to excellent patient care through client education and contemporary medical and surgical equipment. He and his support staff are constantly refreshing their education and technical skills with monthly meetings and lectures from numerous medical companies. They also attend the prestigious North American Veterinary Conference every year.
