Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Mary Beth Claypool hails from a small farming community in S.W. Missouri. Her aspiration, as long as she can remember, was to become a veterinarian. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, in 2000.Since receiving her DVM, Dr. Claypool has enjoyed working with many different types of animals. Her special interests include ultrasonography, allergies and skin diseases, lameness in dogs and working with cats.Dr. Claypool and her husband, Brandon, are proud parents of 2 children, Garrett and Emma. In addition, their family includes Zoe, a labrador retriever, Pistol Pete the cat, and Jake the bearded dragon. In her spare time, Mary Beth enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, baking, fishing and cross stitch.One of the most enjoyable aspects of veterinary medicine is helping owners make informed decisions regarding the care of their special companions. Educating clients about their pets care and special needs allows them to participate in providing the highest quality of care for their pets and assure a long, healthy life
