Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Powell is thrilled to be opening a practice in her hometown of Greenville, SC. Born and raised in the Upstate, she is a proud graduate of J.L. Mann High School and Furman University. She received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and immediately moved "home" to practice. Dr. Powell enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular focus on dentistry and greyhound medicine. Dr. Powell has been married to her high school sweetheart, Rob, since 1997 and they have two daughters, Morgan and Madelyn. They also share their home with two dogs, Finn (a Great Pyrenees) and Giussepie (an Italian Greyhound), and one cat, Eli. Her family is active at Grace Church and enjoys traveling to the beach and mountains, watching movies, and bike riding.
