Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Janet Guthrie began working with us in 2012. She grew up with a menagerie and has enjoyed a life with animals ever since. She received both her BS in Bacteriology and her DVM from Washington State University. She chose not to pursue a residency in any one area because she truly enjoys being able to practice all aspects of veterinary medicine. Because of that ability to practice such a variety of disciplines and the ensuing wide base of knowledge, her husband jokes that, given the choice, if he were ever in a plane crash in a remote area he would prefer a veterinarian over an MD. She and her husband share their home with their dog, a small, fuzzy bundle of joy named Sprocket (the Rocket). They all enjoy hiking, and Dr. Guthrie also bikes (street and mountain) and travels.
