Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Burgesser earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Colorado State University. He then completed his Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Denver. Dr. Burgesser returned to Colorado State University where he graduated magna cum laude with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery from Kansas State University before completing a year of general veterinary practice in Broomfield, CO. After that year, Dr. Burgesser completed both a residency in veterinary ophthalmology and received his Master of Science in Clinical Sciences from Colorado State University. He remained in academics for the next two years, serving as a clinical instructor in veterinary ophthalmology at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph
