Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jones graduated from Tuskegee University in 1999. She started in an internship and then worked in private practice for several years before opening Marina Veterinary Center. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Jones spent 12 years working as a licensed veterinary technician in emergency medicine and critical care. She has completed externships in neurology at North Carolina State, Michigan State, and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. JonesÂ’ true passion is alternative therapies, which include nutritional medicine, bioregulatory medicine, homotoxicology, Bach flower remedies, cryosurgery, cold laser treatments, and energy work. In addition, she has a strong interest in the areas of neurology, feline medicine, orthopedic surgery, geriatric medicine, and end-of-life care. She is committed to being on the cutting edge of both holistic and traditional treatment regimes and constantly keeps abreast of all current therapies. Dr. Jones is married and has two children, one horse, two cats, and too many dogs. She is a member of the American Veterinary Association, American Animal Hospital Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society, the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, and the American Association of Human-Animal Bond Veterinarians.
