Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Laura Barrett received her DVM from the University of California, Davis (2015). She then went on to complete her rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania (2016) and her residency in Medical Oncology at Tufts University (2019). Dr. BarrettÂ’s interest in oncology stems from an interest in clinical trials and the development of new molecular targeted therapies and immunotherapies for the treatment of both animal and human cancers. Dr. Barrett enjoys that oncology requires a multidisciplinary and holistic approach in order to provide the best possible quality of life to her patients. Originally from the South Bay, Dr. Barrett is ecstatic to be back home in the Bay Area to start her career. She takes pride in providing compassionate and personalized care to her patients and their families. In her free time, Dr. Barrett is an avid hiker and trail runner and enjoys wine tasting and traveling. She starts every morning with the New York Times crossword, accompanied by her two cats, Maverick and Charlie.
