Dr. Matt Blanchong is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he studied business administration and Japanese. After graduating, he spent three years living abroad in Japan, working and studying. He developed a deep passion for Asian food and culture while there. After returning to the United States, Dr. Blanchong worked as an investment banker in California for three years before returning to school to pursue his veterinary degree at Ohio State University. In addition to his DVM, Dr. Blanchong received a Masters degree in Veterinary Biosciences. Since completing veterinary school in 2007, Dr. Blanchong has worked exclusively in the emergency and critical care field. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Blanchong loves swimming and running. He also enjoys fine cuisine and tasting various California wines. He has a wonderful rescue golden retriever named Stoli.
