Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Annette Behrman is originally from Indiana and always loved animals. She knew she always wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 5 years old after seeing a veterinarian working on cattle at her granparents? farm. After graduating from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, she decided to leave the cold winters behind and moved to San Diego to take advantage of the beautiful weather and beaches. Before working at Grand Animal Hospital, she worked as a relief veterinarian in the area, but decided she missed being able to establish relationships with clients and monitor patients? care, so she accepted a position with us. She particularly enjoys internal medicine, feline medicine, and dentistry.She and her husband now share their home with two cats, three chickens, several fish, and a guinea pig.In her free time, she enjoys skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, and traveling. She is a member of the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association.
