Veterinarian Overview
__Dr. Gordon is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with his Bachelors in Poultry Science in 1996 and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After practicing for 4 years in his hometown of Jonesboro, Georgia, he moved to St. Petersburg, FL, and decided to pursue a career in Emergency medicine and also became especially interested in ultrasound, internal medicine, and general surgery. After many years of being an emergency night owl, he rejoined the living in day practice. He has since worked throughout the bay area in both primary care and emergency care. He joined Santa Cruz Animal Clinic permanently in July 2014 and enjoys the relaxed family environment here, as well as working with Dr. Busiglio and Dr. Stanton (and Dr. Santa Cruz on occasion). An avid musician, he plays saxophone and classical and jazz piano. He also enjoys spending free time working on engines and home repair, fishing, kayaking. Particularly fond of larger dogs, he is an aficionado of Siberian Huskies and sled dogs. He and his partner have a small sled team of huskies at home.
