Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael R. Haney is originally from West Virginia. He grew up and graduated from High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Dr. Haney went to college in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1980. While attending college he worked part-time and later full time for Delta Airlines. He left Delta Airlines to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. Dr. Haney attended Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2003 where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Haney has worked in a variety of hospitals since graduation. Denham Springs Mixed Animal in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Port St. John Veterinary Hospital in Port St. John, FL, various other hospitals in the Central Florida area including the SPCA of north Brevard. He has been with Cocoa Veterinary Hospital since December 2010. Dr. Haney lives in Merritt Island with his wife Jennifer Carmichael. They have 2 dogs. An Aussie mix named Sally and a Shepherd mix named Olive. They also have 2 cats named Joon Bob and Harpo. His personal interests include kart/auto road racing, shooting, sailing and gardening. He bikes and runs to stay fit and loves all music exceptÂ….opera!
